My husband, daughter and I dined last night. We arrived without a reservation and the staff immediately accommodated us with a table. Our waitress, Sabetha, had a genuine smile and great suggestions from the bar and food menus. Dinner was lobster, clam chowder and trout, all very tasteful.

Great atmosphere. Food is definitely up to legal quality and reputation. Server was super, and view of the harbor was a great plus..

A truly awesome swanky experience. Great food, service, and every floor is unique not to mention the views are excellent. One of the best places for seafood in Boston and a must see in my opinion

Great food- small venue so expect a wait of about 2 hours on a busy day. There is regular street parking which will get you 2 hours free. Besides parking- highly recommended especially if the weather is nice and you sit by the open window.

The only shrimp scampi on the menu and they don't clean the shrimp. Each shrimp had something sandy and crunchy. Legals, clean up your act!

I love this place, food is great, always trying something new off the menu. Lobster pizza was great. Look forward to my return next time.

Great food and ambiance! The service was kind of spotty, but I'm willing to chalk up at least part of it to it being a busy Sunday evening. Still, we had a longer than normal wait time and we had to ask for water to be brought to our table two separate times before it actually was. The quality of the seafood was exceptional though, which was to be expected, and the view from where we were seated was pretty spectacular.

Classic fresh boston seafood and fish—you cannot go wrong! Wine selection is always a treat. IF you can snag a table outside in the summer—it is quintessential Boston seafood experience. Don’t miss the second floor fine dining if you are wanting a more ‘formal’ meal. Yummy

I would visit again. Stopped by just for drinks and appetizers. Sat at the bar so no waiting and service was fast and friendly. Nice atmosphere right on the water.

So I found this place simply Googling "restaurants near me" while staying in Boston. This place came up and it had a menu I was very interested in trying. Now, that being said, there are 3 floors to this place and each floor has it's own menu. I dined on the second floor. I had made a reservation for 1. I was disappointed when I was seated in the bar area and not in the restaurant. I wanted a restaurant ambiance not the bar. However, I was provided the most attentive service and just LOOK at these pics. The food, drinks,desert and its presentation was above and beyond. I gave my server a huge tip for his excellent service and he was so appreciative. One must try Legal Harborside while in Boston. It was very good and I mean the view can't be beat!

Great fresh tasty Food and amazing customer service. If you plan on dining here I recommend waitress JANEL. Very talkative, friendly, remorseful and funny. She even offered to help carry my take out to the car when I sprained my ankle early that day. Keep up the good work Girl! 😉👍🏾

Excellent service and great food. Second floor on the balcony is an awesome experience. Crab cakes were an excellent start and even the bread options were delicious! The server was professional and very helpful. Lobster can't be beat and the steak was a perfect compliment. If you have a special occasion this is the place!

Excellent! Went for my daughter's birthday. I had a nice piece of salmon. She had a big bowl of massive steamers. View was great!

Dinner service, Friday night. Legal has a strong reputation but after my experience, I'd say it's Iconic only in name, passion in the kitchen was lost long ago. I'd write a dissertation, but this place just doesn't deserve it. Calamari, yellowfin tuna

A great view of the marina and swirling seagulls sets the scene for great seafood fare. The specials of the day are not to missed as they offer short season produce.We had to take advantage of the lobster rolls, scallops and salmon with a delicious starter of stuffed artichoke heaven.

There food was good. I had the seafood tower, oysters, and sea bass. The seafood is always amazingly fresh. The service was good but could have been better. We had to ask for utensils, didn't get the shellfish forks with the seafood tower, and had to ask to clear used plates.

This legal has a picturesque setting sitting right on the seaport looking over the water. The selection of seafood here is outrageous. If you can pull it out of the water there's a chance they have it on the menu. If you're looking for an awesome and fancy seafood dinner this is the place to go in Boston

The fresh seafood here is amazing! The green beans are a must for an appetizer 😄 some friends and I ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared them!! So yummy 😋 and the perfect amount of food! And it’s always nice getting to sample a little of everything! Right on the water, it’s the perfect place for a sunset 🌅 dinner!!

We were here a few weeks ago on vacation and we loved it. (We are a family of four and dined on the first level) From the moment we walked in the host was so kind and found us the perfect table outside. Our server was great. He recommended great drinks and meals. From appetizers to dessert it was all delicious. It was a great meal towards the end of our trip!

One star for the beautiful location and cool set-up, another star for the appetizers. Awesome clam chowder and bacon wrapped scallops. I was very excited for my fresh caught swordfish that I was promised would be great. Well what I got wasn’t very good and toward the end I asked the server about it because it seemed like not swordfish and he straight up gave me the wrong dish altogether! He said oh I gave yours to someone else and gave you this. Not even close to what I ordered. Instead of attempting to get me what I ordered or make things any better he just said sorry and then charged me for this instead... it took so long to get anything so I just paid and left. I wouldn’t recommend ordering the stuffed sole but you might get it anyway as a surprise I guess!

Great great atmosphere and the food absolutely delicious. Also, the waiter was phenomenal. The entire experience was amazing.

Seafood doesn't get any fresher. The clam chowder was great. The lobster roll was descent. Situated on the harbor, the view was great.

Came here after visiting the Museum of Science, unaware that it was a chain restaurant, but I enjoyed my food nonetheless. I was in Boston and knew I couldn't come without getting lobster so that's exactly what I was looking for. I saw lobster casserole and it sounded like a good idea so I ordered that along with asparagus (not listed on the menu but you can order it) and a glass of white wine. My lobster casserole looked and smelled delicious but I wasn't satisfied with the asparagus because they were tidbits, I assumed I would be getting whole asparagus. I requested that I get string beans instead (also not listed on the menu but you can request it). There was seafood in every bite of the lobster casserole and I left a very satisfied customer.

Love this place, only complaint is that the bathrooms are always gross( we are here like one a month). Never seen them remotely clean, I’m sure it’s tough because they are usually packed. Food is great.

Delicious dinner and amazing service. There were 7 in the group. Many drinks appetizers and entrees. The food and drinks were delicious and delivered correctly.

Visited this place over the summer. Staff is really nice and friendly and the place is very clean. But very very overpriced and food isn’t that great. My friend’s lobster smelled like those mussels underneath it and was impossible to eat, not to mention the mussels themselves. The lobster pizza was ok. A very very poor options for vegetarians. They made pasta for me without seafood but it was just okay, just doable. The salad was good. I would say four out of ten.

Incredible! My husband and I visited for lunch, had an awesome view on the water with an even better meal! Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque, Salmon and Lobster Roll were all amazing and the server was very knowledgeable with even better customer service skills!! We highly recommend this awesome waterfront spot!#

Best all-around seafood in seaport Boston.Consistently they prepare multiple items very well I will list my favorites below.Steamers are incredible as the broth they cook them in is delicious.Very good oysters selection year round.Their seafood platters are very generous considering you're ordering Quality seafood in Boston. Though I will say I prefer ordering a la carte.Both of you hot and cold lobster rolls are very good but I prefer the cold.Huge menu selection and yes you will almost always need a reservation. Otherwise expect long wait times.Bottom floor is more casual.2nd floor is more formal and has some specialty items like king crab legs.Top floor is a nice bar environment during the summer.

Great seafood! Lunch with our son who lives in California. Whenever he come East, he has New England claims (steamers) and another seafood item. Legal Seafood Seaport Boston was great choice. Everything was exceptional. Highly recommended!

My wife really wanted a lobster roll that reminded us of summers on Cape Cod and they didn't disappoint. I had the Portuguese seafood stew, which was fantastic, with a side of sweet snd sour Japanese eggplant, also fantastic. Kids had really great fried clams and shrimp BLT, and split a delicious crab cake. Just a wonderful meal.

Love this place cant wait till quarantine is over for i can go back the crabcakes are so delicious

Food was fantastic. Service was friendly and spot on. Justin was extremely accomodating of our larger party with not much notice. Very appreciative!

Fish was excellent, definitely lived up to the hype. Apps & sides were solid but not amazing location was very nice with good views. I ate on the first floor and it was still pretty pricy, 2nd floor was very expensive.

I was actually a little disappointed. The restaurant was very busy and so I expected the food to be great. I think the atmosphere must be the draw. Almost all of the tables have water views and that was really nice. The server was over the top trying to be our best friend to the point of being annoying. The acoustics are very loud, which is fine if you're just out with friends, but if you're looking for something more intimate this is not the restaurant for you. The food was okay, not disappointing, but nothing to rave about. The seats are industrial and what they refer to as a "booth" is really just a bench with no back. I guess they can move a lot more tables if you're not too comfortable! lol

The freshest seafood I have had in a long time! The fried calamari was the best! Lightly fried and tender! The view of the harbor is worth a visit anytime!

The place is so scenic. The inside looked very nice with multiple floors. The service was so bright and friendly and very attentive. They surprised us with a desert plate for my anniversary dinner it was such a kind and thrilling touch. Please come by this place the people and specially the food was amazing!
